Every couple has their own rhythm, history, and patterns — some that bring you closer, and some that quietly pull you apart. My work with couples draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and attachment-informed approaches, which means we spend time understanding not just what you argue about, but the deeper needs and feelings underneath it — and how those patterns took root in the first place.
We'll also gently explore the patterns each of you bring into the relationship, so it becomes easier to understand — and respond to — each other in new ways.
Our work together has two parts. In session, we slow things down enough so that you can actually hear one another. Between sessions, I assign homework tailored to what you're working on, so the shifts you make together have room to take hold in daily life, not just in the room.
Therapy Timeline
Every couple's timeline looks a little different, since it depends on what you're working through and how deep the patterns run. As a general guide, couples focused primarily on communication often begin seeing meaningful shifts within 10–12 sessions — though this can vary, especially if there are multiple issues to work through. Wherever you're starting from, we'll check in regularly together, so you always have a clear sense of how things are progressing and what to expect going forward.
